The Idea

 Starting as an experiment for personal use, the incorporation of used aircraft parts in modern furniture has become somewhat of a hobby / side business. While it is not entirely unheard-of to incorporate industrial surplus in furniture and the living space (“upcycling”), what sets Propelling Designs furniture apart is the almost exclusive use of parts from private aviation, maintaining the parts’ own characteristics and rustic charm, and making every piece a unique one.
